Literacy Services

Welcome to the South San Francisco Public Library Literacy Services.  Literacy Services includes the Community Learning Center and Project Read and offers programs to assist you in reaching your literacy and educational goals.

Importance of Literacy

Literacy skills are the foundation that you use to make important decisions in life, and we want to be sure you have the tools you need including literacy in reading, finance, and technology.

Community Learning Center

The Community Learning Center supports family literacy with after-school and summer homework programs for children, adult classes in computer literacy, citizenship, literacy in Spanish, and various classes focused on current community needs.

Project Read

Project Read serves the communities of Colma, Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francicsco. The focus of Project Read is on assisting adults and their families in reaching literacy and financial literacy goals through one-on-one tutoring, financial literacy training, family activities and more.
