The mission of the South San Francisco Police Department is to provide service in the most professional, courteous, and efficient manner possible.  We acknowledge that the responsibility for public safety and the quality of life in our neighborhoods is a responsibility shared with the whole community.

To that end we will strive to nurture a partnership based on trust and respect amongst the Police Department, the City family, and the community.

We view our department as a living, growing enterprise which will remain flexible to change.  We will maintain the highest ethical standards in our profession and be steadfast in our commitment to duty.

Recovered-Property-Web

The South San Francisco Police Department inspects and reviews all found and recovered items booked in our Evidence Unit.  We facilitate the return of property to the rightful owner once reports are reviewed and owners are matched to items that are found or recovered.

Some of the property items can be viewed on this website.  If you believe any of the items shown belong to you, contact our Evidence Unit at (650) 877-8924.  In addition to proper identification, you will be required to submit proof of ownership, such as a case number, prior photo, receipt, documents, etc., to claim any property. 

Items not claimed may be purged or auctioned after 90 days.
