The BMR Inclusionary Housing Program requires developers to sell or rent a certain percentage of units in new developments at a below-market-rate price that is affordable to low- to moderate-income households.
To be eligible to purchase or rent a BMR unit, a household must meet specific income and first-time homeowner requirements. Units purchased through the BMR program are subject to resale restrictions.
Getting Started If you plan to purchase a home, you must contact First Home Inc. at (415) 561-5600 to get on the waiting list for an available unit.
If you are interested in renting a BMR apartment, please visit the County of San Mateo website for a listing of units.
