The City of South San Francisco has a total of 20 children playground areas. Playground equipment is inspected on a regular basis for the safety of the children. Playgrounds are filled with ADA approved firbar (bark) and beneath slides and swings. A few playgrounds have re-engineered rubber fall surfaces. Most playgrounds are used daily, especially during the spring and summer months.
