Fire Prevention Permit Center/Plan Submittal Information

Fire Administration BuildingThis page was designed to assist you in preparing your submittal for plan review or application for a fire permit. Included is information required for most plan submittals, fire permits, fees, and helpful links. To initiate the plan review process or to apply for a fire permit, a Fire Permit Application must be completed and submitted at the Fire Administration office, located at 480 North Canal Street, SSF.

Contractors submitting plans shall:
  • Provide a valid State Contractor's License number
  • Provide a valid City of South San Francisco business license number        
  • Provide a signed copy of the project contract/proposal.
  • Provide a minimum of two copies of plans (the Fire Department will retain one copy).     
  • Include the property's APN/Parcel Number on the plans in BLOCK LETTERS 
Do not mail plans. Plans shall be submitted in person at the Fire Administration office.  

Based on the project valuation, a plan review fee will be due at time of submittal or permit issuance.
