Art history scholar Bridget Quinn will be here talking about the amazing and talented women featured in her book which looks back on artists from the Baroque era to the present, including two (Ruth Asawa and Susan O’Malley) who lived and worked in the Bay Area. This won’t be a dry art history lecture; Bridget Quinn’s writing is fun, funny, and accessible so whether you’re an art historian or an amateur art enthusiast you’ll definitely have a good time.
Bridget is a writer, art history scholar, and sports fan who lives in San Francisco. Her work has appeared in various magazines and literature and non-fiction anthologies. She has worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and for galleries and private collections. She has taught art history at Portland State University, the San Francisco Waldorf High School, and other fine institutions.
