Veterans Resource Center Now Open!
We would like to say thank you to all that attended the grand opening of the South San Francisco Veterans Resource Center. Late last year we signed up to participate in the Veterans Connect @ the Library project, to be a place where military veterans can find out information on the services and resources available to them in San Mateo County and California. In partnership with CalVet, our number one objective is to teach veterans and their families about state and federal education, employment, housing, health, disability and other benefits that may be available. Our brand new center will be continuously evolving as we begin interacting with the north county veteran community. Veterans can drop into our center during designated hours or make an appointment to speak to a trained volunteer. Please visit our website for more information.
Volunteers Wanted! We are seeking compassionate, service oriented volunteers to improve the lives of veterans and their families by assisting in our Veterans Resource Center. If you would like to volunteer as a Veterans Benefits Coach or a Community Outreach Specialist, please email Stacy Lein at firstname.lastname@example.org.
