2017 City of South San Francisco Fall Cleanup Day: Your One-Stop Shop for Your Cleanup Needs

What to do with leftover items from the Citywide Garage Sale? Want to start your New Year's Resolution early and begin to cleanup and organize your home? The City of South San Francisco is here to help! On Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the City is holding its annual Fall Cleanup Day. See below for details:
Got donations, garbage, and/or need paper-shredding? Visit the City of South San Francisco Public Works Corporation Yard at 550 North Canal Street. The Salvation Army will be on hand collecting donations. Anything not accepted as a donation can be disposed of in large trash bins donated by the South San Francisco Scavenger Company. You can drop off one carload per household for FREE; the load cannot exceed one cubic yard (i.e. comparable to the size of a washer/dryer).
Items not accepted include tires, hazardous waste, yard trimmings, construction/demolition debris, dirt, rock, and concrete. How to dispose of these materials? Contact South San Francisco Scavenger Company at 650.589.4020 or visit its website at www.ssfscavenger.com.
Need paper shredding? You've come to the right place! Residents are allowed up to five bankers' boxes for document destruction.
Looking for E-waste drop off? Visit City of South San Francisco Fire Station #61 at 480 North Canal Street. Items accepted include all of your old electronics, including phones, computers, TVs, etc. Items not accepted include fluorescent bulbs or light bulbs of any kind.
