Where and when are the City Council regular meetings?

The South San Francisco City Council meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public and held at:

Where can I obtain an audio or videotape of a particular Council Meeting?

Live and archived videos of regular City Council meetings are now available online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Digital copies of the Council meetings are available from the City Clerk's office located at:
400 Grand Avenue, 1st Floor
South San Francisco, CA 94080
There is a charge per audio tape.

What is Engage SSF?

The City of South San Francisco has launched a new online and mobile application called Engage SSF.  This app makes it easy to report non-emergency issues from a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer. The City tracks these issues and will provide updates as they are acknowledged and resolved. Keep in mind your issues will be addressed during normal business hours. If this report comes in on a holiday, weekend or after hours, it will be addressed the next business day.

How do I obtain a parking permit?

How do I obtain a business license?

Businesses that want to be located in South San Francisco and those that provide services in South San Francisco must have a City business license.

For business license information, call the Business License Office at (650) 877-8505. You may want to check with the Planning Division for Zoning and Land Use regulations on the site in question at (650) 877-8535.

Does the City of South San Francisco issue marriage licenses or perform wedding ceremonies ?

The City of South San Francisco does not provide marriage licenses or perform marriage ceremonies. Marriage licenses must be obtained in person at the San Mateo County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder's Office, Clerk's Division. The County Clerk is located at 555 County Center, First Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063-1665,  (650) 363-4500.

Can I apply for a passport at City Hall?

The City Clerk's Office no longer accepts passport applications.

How can I obtain a South San Francisco Film Permit?

Thank you for your interest in filming within the City of South San Francisco.

Please open the Film Permit Packet and read it thoroughly. Fill out, print and sign the Film Permit Application, attach copy of Insurance Policy or Certificate of Insurance, and submit check payable to City of South San Francisco.
