The Capital Improvement Program is a short and long-term plan for projects related to the City's infrastructure. Projects are categorized into six areas: streets, storm drains, sanitary sewers, public facilities, parks, and traffic. The highlights below are in a pre-construction or construction phase.
Los Cerritos West Orange Avenue Improvement Project - This project designed and constructed new sidewalk curb extensions on West Orange Ave at B and C Streets as well as installed speed radar feedback signs.
Grand Avenue Library Remodel Project - This project remodeled and upgraded the 8,000 square foot main floor of Grand Avenue Library. The grand re-opening took place October 2016.
Grand Avenue & Magnolia Avenue Traffic Signal Project - This project installed a new traffic signal light system, constructed new ADA compliant concrete curb ramps, replaced concrete curb and gutter, and installed new pavement markings. The project construction was completed in August 2016.
Brentwood Park Renovation and Pathway Improvement Project - This project installed new play equipment and ADA compliant pathways around the park grounds. The project construction also replaced the failing retaining walls surrounding the perimeter walkway, replaced deteriorated irrigation lines, and rehabilitated the existing baseball field. The project construction was completed in March 2017.
