Purchase a Parking Permit Online
Purchase monthly parking permits by visiting: http://bit.ly/SSFPermits. To pay by cash or check, please visit our Finance Department (400 Grand Avenue) after completing your online application.
Permits purchased by the 25th of the prior month will be mailed to you. All auto renew purchases will be mailed as well. Any purchase made after the 25th of the prior month must be picked up from the Finance Department (400 Grand Avenue).
*Parking Update: Parking lot #6 is permanently closed.
Types of Permits
In addition to standard parking meters, two types of parking permits are available: Daily & Monthly
- Purchase at ticket box at the entrance of Lot 2 or 7.
- $3.00 per day
- Not valid in metered stalls
- Hourly parking available for $0.50 per hour

- $40.00 monthly permit ($30.00 in Miller Avenue Garage only.)
- If lost, new permit must be purchased

Where Permits are Valid
Parking with a City-issued parking permit is allowed at parking lots number 2, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14 and in the Miller Parking Garage (spaces 38-244). City permits are not valid in metered spaces. Any vehicle parked in an expired metered space (permit or not) shall be cited.
Permit Rules & Regulations
AUTOMATIC PARKING PERMIT PAYMENT: Customers may elect to have the Parking
Permit automatically paid through a debit or credit card. The Parking Permits will
automatically be charged on the 2nd of the month for the following month.
Quarterly Parking Permit Holders must use the automatic payment feature.
Customers on the automatic payment feature will have their parking permits mailed to
their address on the Parkmobile profile on or after 5th of the month for the permits for the
ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT: Payment of the parking fee must be made via the
Parkmobile web site using a credit or debit card. A parking permit (i.e., license plate
registration) will be created by Parkmobile as soon as the credit/debit card payment has
been authorized and accepted. Personal checks or cash are acceptable forms of payment
and must be made in person at the City of South San Francisco Finance Department (400
Grand Ave, South San Francisco, CA 94080).
TERMINATION: A Permit Holder may cancel monthly parking privileges at any time by
simply not renewing the monthly permit. Customers that terminate prior to the end of the
calendar month will not qualify for any refunds.
WAITING LIST: A customer may be asked to be placed on a “waiting list” for a City garage
or surface lot permit if current permits are sold out. The system will indicate when a
“waiting list” is in place at a requested garage or lot. You will be notified when space
becomes available or choose to purchase at a different, available location.
CERTIFICATION: Upon completing the application process for a parking permit, I hereby
acknowledge that I have read and agree with the above terms and conditions.
