Meet South San Francisco’s Mental Health Clinician
The City of South San Francisco has a certified, full-time mental health clinician to assist the Police Department with mental health-related calls by providing appropriate, compassionate care for emergency calls involving a behavioral health crisis. Our clinician is Charli Prete.
Charli holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mills College. Charli’s formal training involves Applied Behavioral Analysis, Social Integration Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Crisis Intervention Therapy. Charli previously worked as an Emergency Psychiatric Clinician and a Mental Health Therapist before beginning her career with our department.
