Santa Comes to Town
- Date: 12/07/2019 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Santa and Mrs. Claus are busy making their plans – and checking them twice – to visit children all over the world. One of their tour stops is South San Francisco City Hall! Please join us for this annual holiday tradition when “Santa Comes to Town” on Saturday, December 7, at City Hall, 400 Grand Ave., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Co-sponsored by the City of South San Francisco, the Kiwanis Club of South San Francisco, and the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Torani, this FREE family-friendly-and-fun event is open to the public and features none other than The Man in Red and his soulmate, Mrs. Claus, who will be escorted in style to City Hall by our South San Francisco Fire Department!
In addition to enjoying delicious peppermint cocoa, courtesy of Torani, children can pose with Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with their elves, as the Kiwanis Club of South San Francisco serving as Santa’s official photographers will be capturing the special moments in time; one photograph per household, please. And, all children will receive a candy cane and delicious sweet treat for being good boys and girls – yum!
While waiting in line to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, children and their families can tap their toes to the holiday jazzy tunes of the “Jonah Cabral Quartet”. By the way, you may recognize band leader Jonah, as he is a proud alum of the South San Francisco Unified School District, attending Junipero Serra Elementary School, Alta Loma Middle School, and El Camino High School! In fact, Jonah current works at Alta Loma Middle School and El Camino High School as their Saxophone Coach!
Like the United States Postal Service, Santa will be here in South City come rain or shine, so please check weather conditions and dress accordingly (bring a coat or jacket – just in case). Speaking of the USPS, Santa’s North Pole Mailbox is in front of City Hall for children to drop off their letters to Santa by Tuesday, December 10, 5 p.m. Please remember to include the children’s names and addresses, so Santa can write back!
For more information, please contact Santa’s Helper (Sheri Boles, City Manager’s Office), at firstname.lastname@example.org / 650.829.6680. We ho-ho-hope to see you on December 7th!
