- Introduction: Celebrate Women's History Month with us and learn about DNA!
March is Women’s History Month, and in this workshop we’ll be celebrating the work of Rosalind Franklin, a scientist whose work helped to determine the distinctive double helix structure of DNA. With the help of our friends from Science from Scientists, you will get to conduct a scientific investigation and perform a DNA extraction on a strawberry!
Please note: this program is for 3rd-5th graders, and space is limited. You can register at dna0320.eventbrite.com or by calling the library at (650) 829-3860.
We will be using strawberries in this workshop. If you have a strawberry allergy, please plan accordingly.
