Peer support comes in all sorts of ways. You can subscribe to email lists, join social media groups, or attend a support group session. In this instance meet a new group of people to share experiences and listen to podcasts. A podcast is a series of audio sessions that include interviews with professionals and personal stories. Attend our group and learn how to access podcasts and the topics that are available, including family stories about caregiving, medical advice, and a little comic relief. Feel free to bring your smartphone, tablet or computer so we can get you started.
This event is part of our Book to Action program series. The 2020 Book to Action program funded through the California Center for the Book, takes the basic book club concept and expands it to a community-wide series of events. California Center for the Book is a program of the California Library Association, supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
