Curbside Pickup Service at the Library
What is Curbside Pickup?
Beginning June 2nd, anyone with a Peninsula Library System card can make an appointment to pick up requested items from the South San Francisco Public Main Library located at 840 West Orange Avenue.
At this time, we are not transferring items from other branches. Please note that requests are limited to what we have available on our shelves.
What can I request?
Please check our catalog to find items that are currently available at our Main Library: https://ssf.bibliocommons.com/
When searching the catalog, you can limit your search to items currently available on the shelf by choosing "South San Francisco-Main" from the "Available Now" drop-down menu. If the item is at the Main Library and says "Check Shelf" then we will search for your items and fulfill your request.

How do I request library items for pickup at the library?
Please submit your request and select a preferred appointment time. A staff member will contact you to confirm items and appointment. Requests and appointments can be made here: https://libcal.ssf.net/appointments/curbsidessf
When can I pick up my requests?
During our pilot period, the following pickup times are available by appointment only:
Appointments are limited. In July, we plan on expanding these services daily and with more appointment options.
How do I pick up my requests?
Once staff have confirmed your appointment, please drive into the parking lot and into a designated pickup spot. Please call the library (phone number will also be listed outside) and let us know you have arrived! Your trunk or car door should be open, and staff will drop off in your vehicle.
If you have questions about the library or your materials, please ask over the phone. We are required to keep these appointments contact-free!
Can I drop by and request items?
No - this service is by appointment only.
I just received a notice about my holds. Can I pick these up as well?
Yes, but you still need to make an appointment. On the form, please make a note about your holds, and we will include those in your bag for pickup.
