Census 2020 And You

April 1, 2020, is National Census Day. Did you know that the City of South San Francisco's population is considered Hard To Count/Least Like To Respond? That's why it's vitally important that everyone who should be counted IS counted. For every individual counted in South San Francisco, the City will receive up to $1,000 per year in additional federal, state, or county funding. Likewise, for every individual not counted in South San Francisco, the City can lose up to $10,000 per person since the Census takes place only every 10 years.

What can you do as a South City resident to help? Please take the PLEDGE to be counted in Census 2020 by texting "COUNT" to 650.200.2743 -- and remind your neighbors to do the same.
