July is National Parks & Recreation Month!
Join South San Francisco as we celebrate National Parks and Recreation month. Throughout the month of July we invite the community to participate in a variety of free virtual classes (see the complete schedule below). Follow along with the Parks and Recreation Department's social media accounts as we highlight and celebrate the passionate Parks and Recreation professionals of South San Francisco, who make sure our parks and programs are well-maintained, safe, inclusive and welcoming.
Mark your calendars and save the dates! A variety of FREE virtual activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities - sponsored by the South San Francisco Friends of Parks and Recreation.

- Class information and details will be listed on the class receipt, upon completed registration.
*Please note: classes subject to availability on a first-come, first serve basis. Participant must meet the age requirement.
Ways to celebrate Parks & Rec Month in SSF!
National Parks and Recreation has been celebrated nationwide since 1985. The National Park and Recreation Association (NRPA) has named this year’s theme “We Are Parks And Recreation." The South San Francisco Parks and Recreation team has compiled a list of activities community members can do, through this month long celebration and beyond! We encourage participants to take photos and submit them or social media pages!
Take a walk, hike or bike at various trails throughout South San Francisco.
Visit the Centennial Way Dog Park with your four-legged companion

Skateboard at the Skate Park . Open from 8am to 5pm.
Visit the Sculpture Garden and various public art installations in SSF.
Visit the Alta Loma Park "Joy, Fun, Laugh, Share" art installation and partake in our virtual art activity!
