Teen Wellness Activities
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the South San Francisco Public Library is excited to be amplifying new Live Beyond mental health resources to help communities heal from the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress. The Live Beyond campaign by the Office of the California Surgeon General is focused on raising awareness and understanding of ACEs, toxic stress, and their potential negative impacts, and offers accessible tools and resources that provide scientifically proven, culturally relatable, and actionable steps to heal.
On May 8, from 4:30pm – 6:30pm, we invite teens to take a break from their studies, and join us in the Community Room, the South San Francisco Public Main Library, for fun stress-busting activities. Activities include:
· Succulent making station
· Affirmation wall and goal setting
· Book station, with books to raffle off
· Tea making station
· Live Beyond resource table with fun journals, stickers, bookmarks, and other helpful resources to support your mental health journey.
We look forward to seeing you at this free event! Feel free to bring a friend or other young adult who might enjoy these activities.
For more information, more resources, and inspiring stories of healing and resilience, please visit and follow Live Beyond on social media. We also invite you to check out their curated booklist highlighting stories of hope and resilience, now available at livebeyondca.org/booklist.
Together, we can take steps to heal and thrive from ACEs.
