Asian Art Museum presents Darshan: The Act of

With “Darshan” the devotee connects to the deity through the act of seeing the deity. These connections are aided by having visualizations of the deities.

Come explore some of the fabulous depictions of Hindu deities from the Asian Arts Museum’s collection which supported darshan. The ten Avatars of Vishnu, the various aspects of Shiva, the layered concepts of female deities, and the myriad gods and goddesses who make up the pantheon of Hindu deities. Come engage with them, and revel in the artistic sensibilities which created them.
