Oyster Point Dragon Boat Presentation

Learn about the history and basics of the sport of dragon boating in this presentation led by South San Francisco's Oyster Point Dragons (OPD).

Formed in 2012, OPD is the only dragon boat team ever to be based out of Oyster Point Marina. This paddling team consists of a diverse group of individuals, ages 12 to 80, including strong athletes and cancer and heart attack survivors.

The team's vision is to expand and promote the sport of dragon boating as a health promotion program, an approach to leadership development, and a team building technique for schools, corporations, and communities in South San Francisco and the Bay Area in general.

This presentation is open to all ages. The paddling program is open to anyone ages 12 and above.
