Summer Learning Challenge 2025

Throughout the summer, free books and summer reading logs will be provided for youth age 18 and under. With each completed log, current SSF residents can enter for a chance to win San Francisco Giants tickets or a $1,000 college scholarship.

We'll also be hosting a variety of events and performances at both SSF libraries.

Perry Yan's Magic Show

San Francisco Magician Perry Yan has performed at thousands of performances at schools, company events, kids birthday parties and more. Perry's magic shows feature clean comedy and audience participation.

Delight in a fairy tale puppet show by Jelly Jam Time. To the Farallons and Back Again: A Mermaids’s Tale” features a scrolling back-drop (also known as a "crankie") set in the Gold Rush era beneath the waves at the Farallon Islands and in the city of San Francisco. Sing sea chanties, mermaid melodies and create sound-scapes for the hand-printed paper world. Stay after the show for a puppet making workshop!
