Capital Improvement Program

The CIP outlines the planned needed infrastructure improvements throughout the community. The program is the result of collaboration among various departments outlining the needed improvements and the priority for implementation of these projects. The program funding only includes the current fiscal year and the projects in the future years will be appropriated in future budget cycles. According to the requirements of Government Code Section 66002, the CIP shall be adopted and annually updated by a resolution at a noticed public hearing.

The Planning Commission reviews the CIP prior to the City Council and makes a recommendation whether it is or is not consistent with the General Plan.
