When will the next Activity Guide be available?
Activity Guides will be available approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the session’s resident registration date. The latest version of the Activity Guide will be available online on this Classes webpage and at our online registration site “CivicRec,” at www.ssf.net/rec-catalog.
Where can I get a hard copy?
Our seasonal Activity Guides will be mailed to all SSF residents. To obtain a hard copy of an Activity Guide, copies are available until supplies last at the following locations: Library | Parks & Recreation Building - Administrative Office, Joseph A. Fernekes Recreation Building, Alice Peña Bulos Center, Terrabay Gymnasium, Orange Pool, Grand Library, and City Hall
REGISTRATION:
When is the next registration date?
Registration will open approximately 1 month prior to the session’s start date: winter (December), spring (February), summer (May), and fall (August).
I can’t register for the class online. Is the class full?
Registration will close when a class has reached its maximum capacity and a waitlist will be established. We recommend you register and/or waitlist for a class sooner rather than later. If a spot becomes available, you will be sent an invitation by email with an active link to accept the position. The invitation will expire after a 24-hr period, and we will move on to the next participant until the position is filled. Online registration will close one-week prior to the classes start date. For assistance in registering after the online closure, please contact the Recreation office at (650) 829-3800.
I am a resident of SSF; why can’t I register online on resident registration day?
The system may need to be adjusted to reflect your residency status. Please contact the Recreation Office at (650) 829-3800 or email web-rec@ssf.net.
WAITLIST/TRANSFERS
I’m on the waitlist. When will I receive a notification?
If a spot becomes available and you are next in line, you will receive a notification via email inviting you to accept the position. The invitation link will expire after 24-hrs; therefore, we recommend you have the most up-to-date email on your CivicRec account.
What number am I on the waitlist?
To view your position on the waitlist, visit your CivicRec account and under the account information, select “Waiting List Status.”
I am on the waitlist; can I attend the first day of class?
Unfortunately, due to our class capacities, non-registered participants cannot participate in our classes program. We welcome you to checkout additional recreation classes online with open enrollment on CivicRec, the online registration webpage or contact the Recreation Office for additional assistance at (650) 829-3800.
How can I transfer to a different class?
To request a transfer, contact the Recreation Office at (650) 829-3800 or email web-rec@ssf.net. Pease note, transfers may not be available if a class has reached capacity or require instructor approval.
WITHDRAW, REFUNDS, & CREDITS
How do I withdraw from a class?
To withdraw from a class, contact the Recreation Office at (650) 829-3800 or email the Classes Supervisor at Veronica.Ortiz@ssf.net.
What’s the refund policy?
All refunds will be issued either as a check or account credit; note, refunds will not be processed back to credit cards. Please ensure your mailing address and account details are up to date to avoid delays.
I understand that refunds must be requested one (1) week prior to the class start date and no refunds will be given after the first-class meeting besides class(es) cancelled by the Recreation Department. A service charge of $10.00 PER CLASS will be made for all refunds requested by the participant.
The $2.25 processing fee that is charged at the time of registration per class is non-refundable.
Please allow five weeks (5) for any refund to be processed.
If a class is cancelled by the Department due to low enrollment or instructor availability, a full refund will be issued.
All cancelations must be in writing.
What are my refund options?
All refunds will be issued either as a check or account credit; note, refunds will not be processed back to credit cards. Please ensure your mailing address and account details are up to date to avoid delays.
How long does it take to receive a check refund?
Refund check requests can take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to reach you by mail.
I received a credit. How do I use it, and does it expire?
Credits posted to your online account can be due to various reasons such as a class cancelation. A credit can be applied to any registration into our programs and classes. Credits will remain on your CivicRec account and have no expiration date.
